Five deaths reported so far
Hyderabad, February 14, 2006
In the wake of five dengue cases reported three from Kadapa and one each from Kurnool and Hyderabad, the State Government directed the medical and health department to take necessary precautions. There is a rampant of viral fever in Anatapur, Kurnool, Kadapa and Chittoor districts.
The medical and health department have rushed up special teams to the affected villages. Health Minister, K.Raosaiah spoke to the DMROs of these four districts ad reviewed the situation. Meanwhile, the Central Government has sent a team of four specialists to investigate the cause of the viral fever. The team also met the Health Minister and explained him the need to take up anti mosquito and anti larval measures in the affected areas.
