Ten pilgrims die in road accident

Pilgrims returning from Tirupatamma jatara

Nalgonda, February 13, 2006

Ten persons died and another twelve were injured in a road accident near Togari in Kodad madal in the early hours of Monday. All of them were returning from attending Tirupatamma jatara in Penugranhi, Krishna District.

The DSP of Suryapet Ashok Reddy said the condition of the two of the injure was critical. The mishap occurred when the tractor in which the devotees were returning home collided with a lorry loaded with cement. The police official rushed to the spot and took up relief arrangements.
