2500 acres site near Kanchikacharla identified

The district administration has identified 2500 acres site near Kanchikacharla on Vijayawada Hyderabad National Highway to develop a textile park and its related industries besides a general industrial estate according to AP Infrastructure Corporation Zonal Manager AV Ramakrishna.

Mr Krishna was speaking at the inauguration of Entrepreneurship Development programme for women conducted by Jan Sikshan Sansthan and sponsored by Small Industrial Development Bank of India. He said there were 20 industrial estates in the district at present. Earlier, inaugurating the programme, UDA Vice Chairman V.Durga Das deplored that educated women were not coming forward to start industrial units. The District Industries General Manager B.Pandurangarao said that there is good scope for mineral, agro based, pharmacy, food processing and chemical industries in the district.
