Bank employees Association to go on strike on February 15

Against disinvestment of Banks in Public Sector

Members of the All India Union Bank Employees Association (AIUBEA) and the All India Union Bank Employees Federation will observe a one-day strike on February 15, protesting against the Centre's proposal to privatize public sector banks by divesting Government's share in the guise of \'Public Issue\'.

The General Secretary of the Association told the media persons that the UPA Government which had ruled out bank privatization before polls, was planning to withdraw Rs.500 crores Government's share after coming to power.
