Each hospital to cost about Rs. 50 crores
Hyderabad, February 1, 2006A one hundred super specialty hospital will come up in the city to cater the needs of workers and staff of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESI). The hospital will be located on the ESI Hospital campus, Sanatnagar said the Union Labor Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao on Tuesday. It was among four such hospitals coming up in New Delhi, Kolkata and one in Western India.
Each hospital would cost about Rs.50 crores. He said that the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy would lay the foundation stone for the hospital shortly and ESI would sanction Rs.19.36 crores to upgrade facilities in the seven ESI hospitals and 10 dispensaries in the State including one at Sanatnagar. Labour Minister G.Vinod said that the Government would shortly make a proposal seeking Rs.15 crore Central fund to take up improvements in other ESI hospitals and dispensaries.
