Arrested on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate known income

Warangal, December 8, 2006

The officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer S. Rajaiah on Friday on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The ACB conducted simultaneous raids on his residences at Karimnagar, Warangal and Hyderabad. The ACB DSP Ramakrishna Rao said that they have recovered documents pertaining to 50 acres, five houses, Rs. 35,000 in cash and Jewellery worth over Rs. 9 lakhs.
