Telangana sentiment helped him

Hyderabad, December 7, 2006

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday congratulated TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao on his landside victory. Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan along with APCC president K. Keshava Rao, he said a strong Telangana sentiment coupled with a share of Congress votes helped the TRS leader in registering a overwhelming majority.

However, he commented that the 1.76 lakh votes polled to T. Jeevan Reddy proved that the people of Telangana accepted the development activities of the Government. Keshava Rao said that the party would make a scientific analysis of the results and chalk out its future plans.
