MROs redesignated as Tehsildars

Cabinet approves draft bill

Hyderabad, December 6, 2006

From hereafter the Mandal Revenue Officers will be called as Tehsildars. All matters concerning the MRO including the territory of jurisdiction will remain unchanged. The Cabinet at its meeting on Wednesday approved the draft bill to switch over to the old nomenclature and re designate the MROs and assistant MROs as Tehsildars and deputy Tehsildars.
