Says KCR conducted an unlawful raid
Hyderabad, December 3, 2006
The Karimnagar police registered a non bailable case against the TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao for raiding houses including a retired teacher H. Malla Reddy at Poodur village which is part of the Jagtiyal Assembly Segment, which is being represented by Congress nominee in the by election and MLA T. Jeevan Reedy. He along with his party activists drove to Poddur in the early hours on Sunday alleging that they were stocking liquor and money but found nothing. They also raided some houses in Jagtiyal.
Basing on a complaint lodged by Malla Reddy, the police registered a complaint against the TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao. He said that this is a clear case of KCR taking law into his hand and attracts criminal action under several sections and further added basing on the case, the non bailable warrant could be issued any time.
Mean while, the election commission authorities have sent away nearly 5000 people who do not belong to the constituency. The EC had already made it clear that non locals would not be allowed to move around. They also even not spared to send away KCR family (wife, son and daughter).
