Training to rural youth in the retail jobs
Hyderabad, December 2, 2006
According to experts, the entry level retailing jobs in the southern states are estimated to be 5 lakhs in the next two years. To meet the demand for professionals to fill these jobs, Rural Retail Academies have been set up in Warangal, West Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts by the Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM).
It is a unique public private partnership initiative of the Rural Development Department of Andhra Pradesh said the Rural Development principal secretary K. Raju. The training by EGMM includes a visit to big malls to understand the work process and they will be trained to face interviews and fill resumes.
