SEC registers Lok Satta Party

Party symbol not allotted

The State Election Commission has registered the Lok Satta Party as a political party without a reserved symbol.

The registration will not entitle the party to the reservation of any exclusive symbol for it. However, the candidates duly set up by the party in local body elections (held in party basis) will be entitled to preferential treatment over the independent candidates in allotment of free symbols according to a press release.
