Kishen Reddy sustains back injury
Hyderabad, December 26, 2006
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers led by floor leader in Assembly G. Kishen Reddy staged a dharna infornt of the Minister for Power Mohd. Ali Shabbir’s residence at Ministers Colony on Tuesday. They shouted slogans against the Government and protested poor supply of power to the farm sector. The police swung into action removed Kishen Reddy and others forcibly from the place, arrested them, and later released.
During the course of action, Kishen Reddy sustained a back injury while he was being taken into custody by the police and was shifted to Medwin Hospital for treatment. BJP State President Bandaru Dattatreya visited the hospital and denounced the action of the police.
