Nandyal MP SPY Reddy surrenders 72 acres of land

This is in response to CM’s call

Kurnool, December 17, 2006

In response to the call to surrender the assigned or surplus lands by the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the Nandyal MP SPY Reddy on Sunday surrendered 72 acres of assigned land in his possession to the Government. He bought the lands in 1980 situated in Sirivella and Mahanandi mandals for Rs. 2000 per acre. The present market value of the land is said to be around Rs. 2 crores. He asked the District Collector to take over the land. He said that he was inspired by the Chief Minister's decision to surrender 310 acres of land.
