CLPs open letter to opposition parties

It urges not to protect vested interests

Hyderabad, December 14, 2006

The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has urged the Opposition not to protect vested interests and stall the Government's efforts to take over assigned lands from the illegal possession of individuals and business groups.

In an open letter addressed to the TDP, TRS and the Left parties on Thursday, CLP members V. Vasanata Kumar, R. Surya Prakasa Rao and J. Venkata Rao said that it was unfortunate that the parties were waging a struggle to protect the interests of media baron instead of taking up people's cause.
