Barely a day after Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Congress was prepared to go it alone in the next elections, APCC President D Srinivas, on his part, came up with a statement that the door of the party are always open to all opposition parties except the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP).

Hyderabad, December 13, 2006

The Congress has demanded that the Opposition parties to tender an apology to the people for stalling the proceedings on Wednesday in the Assembly. They alleged that the Opposition of hatching a conspiracy to prevent debate on assigned lands owned by several persons favourable to these parties and to shield those allegedly involved in collecting huge deposits for Margadarsi Financers.

Speaking at a press conference, the Minster for Agriculture N Raghuveera Reddy and others regretted that the Opposition was pointing an accusing finger at the Chief Minister instead of hailing his gesture.
