GO issued by the State Government
Hyderabad, December 11, 2006
The State Government had issued orders on Monday declaring 212 mandals in nine districts across the State drought affected following un seasonal conditions in the year 2006-07 in the nine districts. The mandals fall in the districts are Prakasam, Chittor, Kadapa, Anantapur, Kurnool, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts. The Commissioner for Disaster Management Preeti Sudan said that the decision was to declare the mandals drought hit was taken keeping in view the reports received from the Agricultural department, Bureau of Economics and Statistics and District Collectors.
