West Godavari, August 7, 2006District Incharge Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, speaking at the Zilla Praishad High School in Doddipalli said that the flood waters will take at least five more days to settle. He asked the district authorities to work in co-ordination and help the people. He asked them not to go on leaves till the situation comes into complete control. He detailed about the Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's visit to the region.
Narsapuram MP Chegondi Hararamajogayya said that the authorities from the Irrigation Department have failed in providing sandbags to counter water flow in the region. District Collector Lav Agarval said that the water levels are stabilizing in Godavari river.
