Hyderabad, August 31, 2006

The Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy said in the Assembly on Thursday that the Government was committed to implementing GO No.610 in letter and spirit. The GO relates to rectification of violations in appointment of local candidates in public employment in accordance with six point formula.

He said that he held discussions with high level committee on August 7, 2006 and appointed an officers' committee to study the recommendations of the Group of Ministers. After a detailed study of the recommendations, it was decided to implement the GO in accordance with the Presidential Order of 1975 and recommendations in the Girglani report.
