YSR says Congress is ready for Second SRC

Blames TRS for making things difficult

Mahabubnagar, August 26, 2006

Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Congress is ready for constitution of a second States Reorganisations Commission (SRC). He said this at a public meeting at Narayapet in Mahaboobnagar.

The decision on the Telangana episode will be taken by the AICC President Ms Sonia Gandhi, he said. He blamed the Telangana Rasthra Samithi (TRS) at causing obstacles for the Second SRC and that TRS is solely focusing on Telangana statehood instead of working out all possibilities. He said that the Congress is focusing on the all-round development of the region.
