Vijayawada, August 25, 2006

Curator of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) PR Viswanathan along with the officials of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACC) visited the Mangalagiri site where a new modern cricket stadium is coming up.

Viswanathan gave suggestions on the ingredients for a good wicket and outer field. He suggested the use of pop up system for 'A' stadium and gun sprinkler system with 30 meters reach in 'B' stadium.

An estimate puts the cost of the two grounds and the practice area at Rs. 56.22 Lakhs. Work for digging of bore wells at three spots to 160 feet has already begun.
