KCR to sit fast unto death at Jantar Mantar

Hyderabad, August 20, 2006

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leaders K.Chandrasekhara Rao and A.Narendra are likely to quit from the Union Cabinet on Tuesday following that no assurance has come forward from the Congress on the separate Telangana State hood. The party has geared itself for a fast unto death by K.Chandrasekhara Rao at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on the next day.

According available sources, the two leaders would submit their resignations to the Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh at the meeting of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) on Tuesday evening. The top leaders had a detailed discussions with the MLAs of Telangana and planning to launch an indefinite fast after the resignations were submitted.

The TRS party MLAs would be present at the agitation initially but it is likely that they may return to the State Capital to create a furore in the current Assembly Sessions.
