Hyderabad, August 2, 2006

The Left Parties and the Opposition party, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have reacted sharply on the recently introduced Government Order 5. CPI(M) State Secretary BV Raghavulu termed the GO to be a carbon copy of the World Bank reforms strategy. Even when some of the Ministers in the Government said that the GO is for examination, the Left Parties blamed of some important facts missing.

Meanwhile, the CPI State Secretary K Narayana said in a press release that the open letter by the Chief Minister could not remove apprehensions on GO No.5. He said that the Government can clear doubts only by scrapping the infamous GO and the Implementation Secretariat.

Senior members of the TDP K Vidyadhar Rao and P Chandrasekhara Rao in a press conference said that the ministers involved in the release of the GO did not read it properly. They blamed Finance Minister K Rosaiah as a signing machine.
