Consumers should not be put to difficulties in view of festive season

Hyderabad, August 18, 2006

The Minister for Agriculture and Civil Supplies N.Raghuveera Reddy while reviewing a meeting on Thursday directed the LPG Companies and department officials to ensure supply of gas cylinders to consumers within four days from the date of booking. He issued instructions to the department to organize district level special review meetings with Joint Collectors to sort out the supply problems if any.

In the review meeting, the representatives said that there was a delay in LPG supply in the flood affected areas. But, the Minister instructed the officials that the department would not tolerate complaints of delay in the supply and not to cause inconvenience to the consumers in view of festive season.
