To tour districts on August 18 and 19

The Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy during a video conference with the District Collectors on Tuesday said that the Central team would be visiting the State on August 18 and 19 to assess the damage caused by floods and heavy rains. The team will tour the flood affected districts in the State on August 18 and 19.
The team would split into three groups and visit the affected districts separately. He said two helicopters were being provided for their use so that they can cover more places. He directed the officials to be ready with detailed reports and take the members of the Central team to the affected areas and explain them of the situation clearly in order to get more funds to the State.
During the conference, he directed the officials to complete enumeration of loss caused by the recent floods by Wednesday evening and focus on speedy completion of relief and rehabilitation measures. The Chief Minister asked the Collectors to submit their reports on enumeration to Relief Commissioner for drawing long term plans and directed them the houses to be constructed within two months and ex gratia to be paid to the families of the victims.
