There is no go back on this issue
Hyderabad, August 13, 2006According to a press release from the Chief Minister's Office on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that the Government will not go back on the issue of supply of Bureau of India (BIS) certified pump sets to the farming community. The release said that the pump sets would be issued in a phased manner.
The Government intended to supply more than 24 lakh pump sets at 80 percent subsidy. The Chief Minister told the officials that from the Energy Department whatever the cost, the Government would ensure everybody gets its.
He directed the officials to constitute district level committees comprising of farmers, and local elected representatives. Special Chief Secretary (Energy) AK Goel, AP Transco Managing Director Rachel Chatterjee and other top officials participated.
