Charges of conniving with contractors

Three Engineers of Devadula Lift Irrigation project including a Superintending Engineer were suspended on Friday on the charges of conniving with the contractors.

The Secretary for Irrigation Satish Chandra issued orders suspending them and said that it was alleged that the engineers cleared the bills of contractor by deviating from the agreement.
