Decision taken at State Cabinet Meeting
Hyderabad, August 11, 2006
The State Cabinet which met on Friday reviewed the activities of the Maoists and its outfits in the last one year and took the decision of extending the ban for a year. As a result of this decision, the seven Left wing ultra groups will be considered outlawed till August 16, 2007.
The six front organizations are Radical Youth League (RYL), Radical Students Union (RSU), Singareni Karmika Samakhya (Sikasa), Viplava Karmiaka Samkhaya (Vikasa), Rytu Coolie Sangham (RCS) and All India Revolutionary Students Federation (AIRFS). However, VIRASAM was not included in the ban.
The Home Ministry submitted a detailed report on the activities of the Maoist to the Cabinet which decided to continue the ban for another one year.
