Speaking to the media persons that the actual loss can be estimated only after the flood water recedes completely.
Even after five days, the flood situation did not show any signs of letting up and most of the villages in VR Puram, Chintur and Kunavaram mandals continued to remain submerged. A fresh rise in water levels at Bhadrachalam is being received with trepidation in the already marooned villages.
Viral fevers and other communicable diseases are stalking most of the villages and at the relief camps.
