Rajasekhara Reddy to follow Hindu traditions
Khammam, April 5, 2006The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy will not be attending the wedding of Lord Rama and Sita in Bhadrachalam on Sri Rama Navami on Friday. According to traditions, prohibit a person who has had a death in the family in the previous year from bringing mutyala talambralu to the deity. It may be recalled that YSR's mother passed away three months back. In view of the situation, the Minister for Endowments JC Diwakar Reddy will represent the State Government.
Heavy security arrangements were made in the town in the backdrop of the recent Varanasi blasts. Metal detectors and video cameras have been set up at various places around the Sri Rama Temple said the Superintendent of Police RK Meena. Nearly one lakh people from across the State and neighboring states are expected to visit the holy function.
