Hyderabad, April 5, 2006

The State Government is wooing construction giant Larsen & Turbo to set up its ship building unit in Coastal Andhra. L & T Chairman and Managing Director AM Naik who will be in the city on Thursday will meet the Chief Minister and Government officials to finalize the deal to identify the location, requirement of land and infrastructural facilities required for the project. On learning that the company is looking for an ideal local in Tamil Nadu, the AP Investment and Infrastructure Department convinced the L & T chairman to explore the possibilities of setting up of the unit in the State.

It is reported that officials have explained the facilities such as good communication network, depth of water and proximity to the port city and the Government cold offer better concessions sources.
