Hyderabad, April 5, 2006

The Dean of Hyderabad's Indian School of Business (ISB) Dr. M Rammohana Rao announced on Wednesday that one of the graduates of ISB's Class of 2006 had been signed up by an Indian IT company for a foreign assignment for an annual package of $223,800 per month. Three students including two women were chosen by companies with packages of over $200,000 per annum, he said. He said that the average international salary for ISB graduates this year was $120,700 a jump of 21 per cent from 2005.

The highest domestic salary this year was Rs.30.33 lakhs while the average domestic salary was Rs 11.77 lakhs an increase of 18 per cent from last year. 328 students had participated in the placements process, over 145 companies had visited ISB for recruitment this year, and except 8 to 10 students had firm offers while these are negotiating with potential employers.
