The Managing partner of Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) Mr. Promod Haque said on Wednesday, that it will be investing up to $250 million of its new $650 million fund in Indian Companies especially in Technology, consumer Internet, mobile and media sectors. He said that NVP is currently has over $2.5 billion investment in various companies in the US, India and Israel was bullish about the prospects of technology firms in India and continue to make investments in Indian Companies in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad which have potential to create value in the enterprise software, wireless software solutions and telecommunications.
Norwest Venture Partners' "hybrid" and direct investments in India include companies like AmberPoint, Cast Iron Systems, Callable, GXS, LifeSize and Open Silicon.
