Hyundai R & D unit likely in Andhra

South Korean automotive major eying Andhra for its facility

Hyderabad, April 2, 2006

According to a press release by the Chief Minister's Office, the Hyundai, a premier South Korean automobile company will set up its research and development wing on the outskirts of the city. The company has also plans to set up the manufacturing facility at Tada in Nellore district.

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday agreed to allot 42 acres of land to Hyundai and left it for the company to select a suitable location at Gachibowili, Hardware Park or Vattinagulapalli The company will be investing Rs.250 crore in the research wing and also plans to set up its manufacturing facility at Tada in Nellore district in near future.
