Marks to be known only in marks list
Hyderabad, April 2, 2006The Board of Intermediate Examination (BIE) will not announce marks along with the examination results this time to prevent corporate colleges from claiming credit for grooming top rankers. The students will get to know their marks only when the marks lists are issued to them according to a proposal of BIE.
The marks list will be sent directly to the students at their school or residences a couple of days after the results are announced. Following the High Court directions to the Government to take steps to prevent private colleges from claiming ranks, the BIE secretary RP Sisodia said that the Board was not in favour of posting marks in the net. Alternatively, grades could be mentioned: A grade for more than 70 per cent, B grade for score 60-70 per cent, C for 50-60 per cent and D grade for 35-50 per cent. However, a final decision has to be taken and the Government has to approve this proposal.
