Final phase of Operation Kolleru begins from April 20

Court hears and clears proposal

The administrations of Krishna and West Godavari districts are gearing up for the third and final phase of the operation Kolleru Lake scheduled to begin on April 20. The two districts have already positioned men and machines at the lakes to demolish the fish tanks.

The officials have stopped work on March 11 following Apex Court directions on giving space for fish farmers to place their argument. The apex court heard the petitions and cleared the proposal.
