Hyderabad, April 17, 2006

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday took to streets blocking traffic as many places in the State protesting against booking of criminal cases against fie of its MLAs on the controversial Sripada Sagar Irrigation project. Telugu Desam party has conducted dharnas in various districts on Monday.

In Hyderabad, they sat in front of the Indira Park to expose the dictatorial attitude of the Chief Minister. As a preventive measure, police took into custody of several TDP MLAs as they attempted to break a police cordon to march towards the arterial Tank Bund road. A case was booked against them and was released later.
