Three killed in Rajam
Hyderabad, April 16, 2006Thirteen persons were killed after being struck by lightning as thundershowers lashed the State and there was a heavy loss of livestock across the State.
Three persons were killed in Rajam mandal of Srikakulam district. In Medcherla one laborer died on the spot when he was hit a thunderbolt in Gadudula. In Nalgonda district, three people including two women, in Mahabubnagar, two people, in Hyderabad one boy and in Medak district three persons died due to lightning. According the MET department sources, it may continue another 48 hours.
