Vizianagaram, April 15, 2006

P Rajanna Dora who lost the Assembly election from the Salur (ST) constituency in 2004 is all set to take oath as legislator in Hyderabad on Sunday. Speaker of the Assembly, KR Suresh Reddy would administer the oath of office. Happiness is gloomed in the faces of party supporters upon news.

It may be recalled Rajanna Dora who won from Salur for three terms (consecutive terms starting from 1994) lost to RP Bhanj Deo, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate. Rajanna got 46,087 votes while Deo secured 48,580 votes. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has taken up a petition that Deo is not an Scheduled tribe candidate.
