Hyderabad, April 11, 2006

iGate Global Solutions, an integrated technology and operations company, expects to increase its operating margins in the first quarter of 2005-06 to 15 per cent compared to the six percent in the previous quarter, Phaneesh Murthy, the CEO of the company said on Tuesday. Speaking to media, he said the year 2006-07 was good for iGate in that its revenues grew by 10.8 per cent to Rs.636 crore compared to Rs.580 crores in the previous year. The company posted a net profit of Rs.five crore in 2005-06 down 74 per cent over the Rs 21.2 crores in the previous year.

The company will be adding between 1800-2000 employees across the country in centres in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Noida in 2006-07. It added nearly 1200 employees in 2005-06 taking the total employee head count to 5152 as of March 31. The revenue in the fourth quarter of 2005-06 was Rs.167.37 up by 15 per cent over the same quarter last year.
