Members of family commit suicide
Nellore, April 11, 2006Two members of a carpenter family committed suicide alleged unable to bear the harassment of a micro financier. The police sources says that Aparananani, the wife of Bhavani Subrahmanayam Achari of Santhapet had taken a loan of Rs. 30,000 from a micro financers Katari Sunita in 2004 with an agreement to pay Rs. 3,600 per week to clear the loan.
However, the micro financier came to their home on Monday and allegedly harassed them for not paying the dues. Humiliated over the harassment, the family comprising wife, husband and five children planned to commit suicide on Monday evening by consuming position. But the husband of Aparanjani's sister prevented them from doing so. Younger members of the family B Balakrishana and B Manjula committed suicide by consuming poison in the wee hours of Tuesday.
