Nellore, April 11, 2006

General Motors Corporation, world's leading car maker, is likely to establish its mini plant, Spartk, soon at Tada in Nellore District. The new unit will have the capacity to manufacture two lakh cars per year besides it is expected to create four thousand jobs.

Team members of the company visited the site thrice and have confirmed their desire to set up a green field plant in the State according to a senior official. Meanwhile, Hyundai is also actively considering to set up a unit at Tada.It is understood that the company is willing to establish it unit in Andhra Pradesh as the Government is offering more facilities to the company. In another development, 30 footwear units have come forward to establish their units in Mambattu area where Apache footwear limited established its unit.
