Indian Badminton stars gets into international charts

Hyderabad, April 10, 2006

According to the latest lists released by the International Badminton Federation, Hyderabad's teenage badminton sensation Saina Nehwal improved her world rankings. She jumped five places to her prequarter final appearance at the Asian Badminton championship in Malaysia recently.

However, Trupti Murgunde of Maharastra who reached the quarterfinals in Malaysia is currently at 65 up by 16 places. India's No.1 Aparna Popat is down 17 places and is placed in 89th position. Sania was part of Mission Pride India, which was launched by the fitness centre in November last.
