Burglars goes away with valuables & jewelry
Hyderabad, April 10, 2006
Burglars broke into Chanda Jewellers in Mahankali on Sunday night and made away with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs.3 lakhs. The burglars gained entry from the rear side by making a hole in the wall. The owner of the shop C.Srinivas said that the burglars made away with 25 tolas of Gold ornaments and 4 kgs of Silver and they have not touched the locker.
North Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Shika Goel visited the scene of offence and the police are questioning the employees of the shop. Even though the police have conducted several meetings with jewelers on improving security, nothing muh has happened. Ms Goel said that Jewellers can very well spend Rs.10,000 to set up an electronic security system.
