Vijayawada, April 1, 2006

The police collect fine from the common people for not wearing helmet. Strangely, the Vijayawada police has collected fine from an Assistant Sub Inspector and four constables for not wearing helmets after the rule came into force on Saturday.

The Vijayawada police collected Rs.1 lakh from those who did not wear helmets and there was a heavy demand for helmets in the town.
