Hyderabad
The Karimnagar district police on Thursday recovered more than 50 grenades and huge ammunition from a hideout reportedly belonging to the CPI ML Janashakti naxals in the State Capital. They also raided simultaneously in Nacharam on the city outskirts and recovered some firearm pouches, revolutionary literature and diaries containing the details of party funds collected. The raids were based on the information stumbled upon after the recent exchange of fire at Mustabad of Karimnagar in which four naxals were killed according to the DGP.

Former Minister and Telugu Desam Party Leader, P.Ramasubba Reddy who is serving life sentence in Cherlapally jail was on Thursday acquitted in a case of arson in Jammalamadugu after the murder of the MPTC member. The Proddatur Senior Civil Judge, Shyam Sunder acquitted him and 62 others accused in the case.

Warangal
The police seized explosive material and arrested three persons near Jangaon while they were illegally transporting the material on Thursday. According to police, they seized 17 boxes of slurry, 3400 detonators, 50 mete safety fuse wire and 50 kg of ammonium salt while checking the vehicles in the early hours.

The police recovered ten idols from a summer storage tank at Nadyal on Thursday. The idols some of them having antique value were believed to have been stolen by a gang were abandoned as it encountered problem during transportation. The idols were preserved at Prathama Nandiswara Temple.
