The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy has rejected the resignation of the Sports Minister, M.Satyanarayana Rao. According to reports, M.Satyanarayana Rao has reportedly agreed to withdraw the resignation. This followed by the persuasion by the Chief Minister and several party leaders including the APCC president, K.Keshava Rao and others. The Chief Minister who spoke to him told to the reporters that these reports wee creation of the press and there was no need for M.Satyanarayana Rao to resign since the ACB would take time to submit its report.

The huge public meeting of the TRS on Monday evening saw the party chief, K.Chandrasekhara Rao avoiding making strong remarks against the State Government. He choose to not to attack the Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy whom he is scheduled to meet at a meeting to be organized at the instance of the AICC at New Delhi on July 20 to thrash out their differences. His speech did not evoke any expected response. He said that the resignations of the ministers made the Government into action as it announced a special package for the development of Telangana and cell to oversee implementation of GO 610. The Union Minister of State for Rural Development, A.Narendra spoke on the occasion.

Hyderabad
The Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association will begin an agitation demanding transfer of the Visakhapatnam District Collector for his adamant attitude and harassment of employees in the district. The executive committee at a meeting held on July 17 took the decision to this effect. It resolved to organize relay hunger strike before the Collectorate for a week from July 20 and to boycott distribution of ration cards during the period. According to press release issued by the association leader, the agitation would be extended to other districts if the Government did not transfer the Collector.
