The Sports Minister, M.Satyanarayana Rao has handed over his resignation to the Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday on the plea over the reports in a section of media alleging his involvement in the endowment land scam. This is the second time he submitted his resignation. The Information and Public Relations Minister, Md.Ali Shabbir reportedly persuaded him to drop the idea.

Film Actress Vijayashanti who floated her own party for the cause of Telangana, has said she will not be part of the TRS meeting to be held at Warangal on Monday and said that she will take the movement for separate Telangana. She was speaking to presspersons during a pada yatra, which she undertook as a part of her Telangana Coordination Committee’s mass contact program. ‘Telangana Jana Jagarana yatra’ in various localities in the Musherrabad Assembly segment.

The Principal Secretary (Health), IV Subba Rao on Sunday launched a website, apblooddonors.com which would aid blood donation movement in the State. Speaking at a symposium organized by the Jana Vignana Vedika, he called for conduct of blood donation camps to tide over the shortage. He assured Government’s help in the blood donation drive.
