The resignations of the six Ministers belonging to the TRS put on hold for several days have been forwarded to the Governor for acceptance. The Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy sent the letters to the Governor with his recommendations to relived the Ministers on Saturday.

The State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has sought the dismissal of Botcha Satyanarayana from the Cabinet in view of the allegations in the Volkswagen scandal. A delegation of the BJP leaders led by the party’s State President, N.Indrasena Reddy submitted a memorandum on Saturday to the Governor. He said that the Chief Minister has himself reportedly admitted that something wrong in the deal while entrusting the matter to the CBI. The memorandum includes the dismissal of Satyanarayana from the Cabinet and wanted seizure of properties and bank accounts of the Minister and his relatives, registering criminal cases against those involved with the special purpose vehicle and their arrest and suspension and action against the officials involved.

Nearly 11 naxals of CPI (Maoist) surrendered on Saturday before the Chennur Circle Police. They cited disillusionment with party ideology as the reason for their surrender according to the Circle Inspector of Police. In Anathapur, eight naxals including a commander, four dalam members and three key militants surrendered before the SP, Sanjay Kumar Jain on Saturday.
