Subsidies sought by Software entrepreneurs
Hyderabad The honorary president, D.Ravi Kumar at a press conference on Tuesday requested the Government to award data entry contracts to associations like SADEA which would in turn distribute work among the small and medium entrepreneurs. He said that the Government is providing subsidies to corporate companies in the IT Sector for purchase of land and power.
Santosh Reddy submitted resignation
Hyderabad He thanked the Chief Minister for giving him an opportunity to serve the Government. Reacting to the resignation, the Chief Minister commended him for doing a good job in developing the State. He said that there were no two views that Telangana had received a raw deal in development in the TDP rule.
Sub Inspector killed in exchange of fire in Khammam
Khammam A Circle Inspector sustained bullet injuries. According to reports, the Palvancha rural SI reached the temple town with a five-member police party in hunt of a weapon supplier with naxals links, based on the information given by a local contact. He checked into the hotel room well in advance expecting the visit of weapon supplier. Meanwhile, another police party from Visakhapatnam district led by Inspector, Rajendra and accompanied by Bhadrachalam police raided the same hotel and got into the room when the Palvancha rural Sub Inspector was waiting with his men. As the SI opened the door, there was firing from both sides because of mistaken identity. It resulted in killing V Ashok Kumar on the spot. The men accompanying him, however revealed the identity and managed to save themselves.
Engineers Convention from August 5
Hyderabad
The 20th Annual Convention of the Indian Engineers Federation will be held from August 5. Nearly a thousand engineers from Andhra Pradesh and another five hundred from the rest of the country will attend the convention and the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, will inaugurate it.
