The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday took over the murder case of Paritala Ravi. A 12 member investigation team was lead by Viswanthan, DIG. On its arrival in the morning, the team went strait to the District Police Office and had a meeting with the SP RS Praveen Kumar for nearly two hours.

They also met the DIG of Anathapur N.Jayarami Reddy. Mr. Praveen Kumar said that the case had been handed over to CBI including FIR registered by the Two Town Police station on the day of the murder along with the complaint lodged by the maternal uncle of the deceased. He explained how Paritala was murdered and the progress was made in the Investigation so far.

All records pertaining to the investigation carried out by the district police and the CID were handed over to the team. The CBI team had also examined the weapons recovered from the surrendered.
